Cool Stuffs Review

I have purchased the Acer Aspire 1 to replace my Fujitsu Notebook which was finally getting to be on its last legs after 7 years.
I'm surprisingly dissapointed, because its "cuteness" value does NOT make up for its faults.
First of all, whom --in their infinite wisdom-- thought of making it super laquered and shiny! The thing is impossible to keep clean and it looks dismal with stubborn greasy fingerprints, no matter how many times I wash and dry my hands thoroughly.
The portability becomes useless when used outside or even while riding (not driving of course) in a vehicle, because the LCD screen pretty much dissapears into oblivion, so why bother.
That's just the beginning. If you're delighted with its size thinking you can just whip it out of your briefcase and do a quick email check or make anything els, forget it. This thing starts up as slow as a 486 , it is super slow, even with just the basics on it, it takes TWO MINUTES and 7 secs to come up. Apparently the solid state feature (which was one of the features I wanted it for), is the culprit.
The worst thing about this computer is the position of the mouse buttons. What mutant made that decision! You cannot possibly navigate and click with one hand because the mouse buttons are on both sides of the pad, so you pretty much need to use both hands to do anything.
This is probably a computer for those patient users who hunt and peck their keyboard and have nothing better to do than wait.... Then again, they better get new glasses, because even when choosing the extra large fonts, they are barely legible.
The only good thing: the size, but beware of the keyboard if you can type, because even for my small fingers, it was extremely difficult to use.
Do not buy this computer if you need it for business--and/or classes purposes, it is going to set you back in more ways than just the dollar amount you paid for it.
