This is an excellent netbook. I haven't had any major issues with it except the wireless card seems to be a bit sporadic. If you are looking for something to be your main computer, then do not buy this (or any other netbook). But, if you are looking for a small, compact computer to take with you places (I take mine to school with me) or to just get on the internet, then this is the best thing to get for the money. I use mine to type papers for my classes, it came with a free 60 day trial of microsoft office 2007 which is perfect for school. It has 160 GB of memory, which is way more than i'll ever need. The keyboard is almost a regular sized keyboard, you'll get used to it in about an hour or so. Only bad thing is that it doesn't have a CD drive, which can be solved with an external CD drive. I bought this unit for work. I have had a big, bulky, slow desktop that I have used for years, mostly for email. I bought the Acer so I could use it also out of the office. Well, it has exceeded all of my expectations. The delivery was extremely fast (I am a Prime Member and instead of it taking 2 days, it arrived in one). The setup was fast and painless. I enjoy the wide format of the 10.1 inch screen. My wife, who is a Facebook junkie, took control of it Friday evening with a full battery charge. She returned it to me Monday morning with 23% charge remaining. Not bad! This is a great little netbook. You just have to keep in mind that because it only has 2gb of ram its processing speed is a little slower. And it's a bit of a bummer to have to buy an external dvd/cd drive (which I haven't purchased yet- but really want to soon). It has some awesome touch pad features once you know how to use them. But like you've probably read in other reviews, the touch pad is small. Over all though I've really enjoyed having it. Oh, and I also love how quiet it is when it's running!

P.S. And in case you were wondering about the size issue with comparing it to the 8.9 inch version- I'm very glad I went with this larger version. One of important reasons I decided to purchase this netbook was the LED backlight.
But, the bottom-side sticker says "Lamp(s) Contain Mercury, Dispose Properly," which means the backlight is CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) not LED.
I can not trust Acer's description on their product specification.

Also, it is stinky. It smells as if it was not cleaned after soldering.

Good build quality however, not as good as the Lenovo. For a lower price point than the Lenovo s10 this model does come with a 6 cell battery. The battery has lower rated run-time than the Asus 1000he 6 cell battery and the Samsung s10. The Acer does NOT have bluetooth support (listed as optional for you to find out after you open the box). Also listed in the manual is a rear aircard slot at the battery compartment but this is also OPTIONAL which means it probably doesn't exist. The Levono also lists bluetooth support as optional. The Acer has a quirky one button toggle touch pad instead of traditional 2 button as on the Asus.
The lack of bluetooth support means you will have to tie up a USB port for a mouse if you need one. For the slightly higher price of $20 (if you shop around) I would go with the Asus 1000HE netbook that comes with bluetooth support, the Atom 208 processor and a long life 6 cell battery.
I'll be returning my Acer even though it is an inconvenience.
