Cool Stuffs Review

I bought this netbook to enable my wife to easily look things up on the Internet while reading in an easy chair. It does that and almost everything else we want a home computer to do, exceeding my expectations. The Wi-Fi response time is very fast. My large classical music library on iTunes fits on the Acer and plays beautifully on our stereo - wirelessly with an Apple airport express. And the sound quality and volume via the earphone socket are totally satisfactory. The built-in speakers are plenty loud. When we connect it to a large monitor and keyboard, we're really not aware we're not using a full-fledged notebook costing several times as much.

Buying such things from Amazon is terrific. My reading of many highly informative reviews on Amazon played a major role in choosing the Acer and the Crucial 2GB memory board. A key factor was commentary about the sound quality, which several reviewers said is better than that of the competing Asus. The first Acer was dead on arrival. Amazon put a replacement in the mail before I got the dead one to UPS, all of which cost us $0.
